What we collect
When you click "I support the Tribunal"
- A randomly-generated browser ID (UUID) stored in your browser's
localStorage. We use it to count one click per browser. - A truncated user-agent string (browser family, e.g. "Chrome on macOS") for basic analytics.
- The page that linked you here (
document.referrer), if any. - A timestamp of the click.
When you submit your email
- The email address you typed.
- Same truncated user-agent and referrer as above.
- A timestamp.
For abuse prevention
- Your IP address is briefly used in memory to enforce rate limits (max 5 submissions per minute). It's stored in a temporary table and automatically purged after one hour. We never associate it with your email or click.
What we don't collect
- No third-party analytics. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no tracking cookies.
- No browser fingerprinting. No canvas tracking, no font enumeration, no device ID harvesting.
- No advertising trackers. Ever.
- No selling or sharing data. Your email goes nowhere except our inbox.
Where it lives
Data is stored in a private Postgres database hosted by Supabase in their US-East region, encrypted at rest. Only the Tribunal Coalition team can read it. The public-facing site can only add rows — it cannot read, update, or delete anything (enforced by Supabase Row Level Security).
How we use it
- Click count: to display the live "supporters" total on the home page.
- Email list: if you submitted one, you'll receive monthly newsletter updates about structural reform. Unsubscribe links are included in every email.
- User-agent / referrer: to understand roughly where supporters are coming from. We don't share this externally.
Cookies
We don't set any cookies. The browser ID for click deduplication lives in localStorage, which is local to your browser and never sent to any server we don't control.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your email and any associated data at any time, for any reason, with no questions asked. Email jwatson1283@gmail.com with the address you signed up with and we'll remove the row within 7 days. We'll confirm by reply.
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional statutory rights (access, portability, correction). Same email — same response.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, email us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll update the date at the top of this page and post a notice on the home page. We'll never reduce your rights without telling you.
